1998: Riverbank Laboratories Threatened by Demolition

Riverbank Laboratories were to be demolished making the property easier to sell.

2016: First summer camp at Durant-Peterson House and Sholes School Museums

2004: Bus tour highlights historic properties rehabilitated with Riverboat Grant Funds

Grand Victoria Riverboat Grants have funded dozens of rehabilitation projects of historic sites in Kane County.

1991: Sumiko Kobayashi donates books that belonged to Nelle Fabyan

She lived on the Fabyans’ Riverbank estate as her father was the head gardener for the Fabyans.

1989: Geneva Country Day School Added to National Register of Historic Places

Built in 1927, the Geneva Country Day School at 1250 South Street "was part of a nationwide movement at the turn of the century which challenged the established system of education."
