As a volunteer with Preservation Partners of the Fox Valley, you assist in sharing the incredible stories of the people who lived or worked at one of several unique local museums we manage for the Forest Preserve District of Kane County—Fabyan Villa Museum, Fabyan Japanese Garden, Durant-Peterson House Museum, and Sholes School Museum. Roles can include:
tour guide
museum greeter
living historian
tending to the Durant-Peterson House vegetable garden
decorating and cleaning
history researcher
collections and inventory
And, don’t worry; we provide all the information you need for your desired volunteer position.
