Night at the Villa

Join us for a night at the Fabyan Villa!

Kids will learn about Colonel George Fabyan and his wife Nelle. Learn about the monkeys, alligators, and bears that used to live on the estate. Meet the Fabyan Mummy, see the samurai armor, and check out this 1907 Frank Lloyd Wright home... at night! The evening will feature learning about famous WWI code-breaker, Elizebeth Smith Friedman who trained at Fabyan—and the opportunity to make your own code-wheel with director Vivien Lasken. We will also talk about the taxidermy throughout the Villa, which features a mako shark, golden eagle, lemur and more. A scavenger hunt, snacks, and viewing of the movie, Night at the Museum (rated PG) will close out the evening. We’ll send everyone home at 10:30 pm.

Bring a pillow and blanket to get comfy on the floor for the movie. You’ll also want a flashlight for the dark walk down to the parking lot.

This event is intended for kids between 8 and 13. Tickets are $15/child and an attending adult is free. Snacks will be popcorn, cookies, water, and juice. If you would like to bring your own snacks, you are welcome to. No alcohol allowed.
