ROUTE 31 DETOUR IN GENEVA

DETOUR FOR Southern route to fabyan villa and japanese gardeN.

A short portion of Route 31 from South Street to S. 3rd Street in Geneva will be closed. This closure is due to Union Pacific Railroad’s construction of a third main rail line through Geneva.

Traveling south on Route 31, turn right (west) on Route 38 / State Street. Turn left (south) at the traffic light on to South Third Street. Cross the railroad tracks and then turn right (south) on Route 31 / S. Batavia Ave. to the Fabyan Forest Preserve West entrance at Route 31 / S. Batavia Ave. See the blue line on the map below for the local traffic detour to avoid the road closure.

Traveling north on Route 31 will not require a detour. Simply cross Fabyan Parkway and turn right into the Fabyan Forest Preserve West at 1925 S. Batavia Ave. / Route 31.
