After years of fundraising and meticulous conservation, a couture gown for Nelle Fabyan from c. 1910, designed by Parisian fashion designer Georges Doeuillet, creator of the cocktail dress, will go on display in 2026 at the Fabyan Villa Museum.

Only six museums in the world, such as the Louvre in Paris and the MET in New York, have one of Doeuillet’s garments.

One of those museums is now in Geneva, Illinois!
