Your help is needed to finish it.
Since 2022, Warren Bowman, son of Polly and Walker Bowman, along with his daughter Georgina, Preservation Partners staff and volunteers and volunteers with the Pottawatomie Garden Club have transforming the area behind the Beith House in downtown St. Charles into a beautiful space of respite for the public.
Last fall, through generous donations, about half of the plants were purchased and planted.
The remaining 73 plants were put in the ground last week by a group of dedicated members of the Pottawatomie Garden Club in less than an hour! Plants included False Blue Indigo, daylilies, Shasta Daisies, Karl Foerster grass, a smokebush, and more. As the saying goes: many hands make light work.
In order for the plants to be well-established for our July 29th ribbon cutting with the St. Charles Area Chamber of Commerce, we needed to get them in the ground before we had finished fundraising.
That is where you come in.
We still need to raise almost $1,000 to cover the remainder of the plants. Please consider sponsoring a plant or making a donation by clicking the button below:
