Preservation Partners has reorganized staff roles and added a new person to the team.
Jill Willett, Operations Manager
Introducing Jill Tuinier Willett
We are excited to introduce our new Operations Manager, Jill Tuinier Willett. Jill has been working with historic structures for 20 years. Her experience ranges from architectural surveys to designing mid-century bathrooms and large-scale church windows, as well as hands-on restoration, particularly of wood and steel windows. In addition, Jill has managed the offices of two historic preservation companies. A native of Michigan, Jill spent 20 years in Chicago before moving to DeKalb, where she resides with her husband and step-daughter. In her free time, she is tackling house projects, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends in the outdoors. She enjoys geeking out about historic buildings and she's excited to hear about your favorite buildings in the Fox Valley!
With the addition of Jill, we are shuffling other staff responsibilities.
Debra Corwin is taking on the role of Programs Manager where she will be responsible for museum volunteers and youth programs for all four of our historic sites, while remaining the primary staff person on open days for the Durant-Peterson House and Sholes School Museums.
Al Watts is taking on the role of Heritage Manager where he will be responsible for the artifacts and exhibits at all of our historic sites, and the visitor experience for the Fabyan Villa and Japanese Garden, while remaining the point person on historic preservation issues.
